A BILL to amend and reenact section four, article one, chapter
twenty-two of the code of West Virginia, one thousand nine
hundred thirty-one, as amended, relating to continuation of
the division of environmental protection.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:
That section four, article one, chapter twenty-two of the
code of West Virginia, one thousand nine hundred thirty-one, as
amended, be amended and reenacted to read as follows:
ARTICLE 1. DIVISION OF ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION.
§22-1-4. Division of environmental protection continued;
appointment of director.
Pursuant to the provisions of article ten, chapter four of
this code, the division of environmental protection shall
continue to exist until the first day of July, one thousand nine
hundred ninety-six, to allow for the completion of a preliminary performance review by the joint committee on government
operations. The division shall be administered, in accordance
with the provisions of this article, under the supervision and
direction of the director.
